Watches & Wonders Miami 2018.

This event used to be held in Hong Kong, but due to slow down of the industry in Asia, it took a break for 2 years.

Finally in 2018, and for the first time, the event came to USA, located in Miami's Design District, where many luxury brands are located.

The organization for the event is FHH (Foundation de la Haute Horlogerie) which you can find better info than my descriptions, total 21 brands participation and also Independents pop up shops.

The date was Feb 16-19, when the weather was perfect at 70~80 deg F. There were also Boat shows and Yacht shows during this week so it was very busy with lots of traffic.

Every day, there were seminars, workshops for the public to sign up and it is very enriching. Some topics:

Watchmaking workshop
Pilot's Watches
Chronographs
Women and Watchmaking
Workshop for kids
Investing in Watches for the 21st century
etc....

The first night on 2/16 was the event opening ceremony, starting 7pm, which you have to rsvp to get in/out as they block off the street.

Prior to that, the place is just like regular shopping district. I'm glad I did, as the photos will show, fun filled, free flow cocktails, drinks, food and performances.

I also had the chance to meet 2 other Purists gentlemen JerryW and CR, which is awesome, just a pity not enough time share and talk watches.

Without further ado, enjoy the photo journey.

A big Thank You to the staff at A Lange Sohne, David and Daphne for the invitation. They are very busy during the event and still did an amazing job hosting us.

Brought these (my tiny collection) for the event, should be not too shabby, right?

Nice gifts from Lange...Thank you!

Finally at the last day, I had some time to attend a seminar and try the virtual reality, super cool experience, just hope the gear is lighter.
