It’s more than 3.000 km across, so you have everything from deserts, to steppes, mountains almost 7.000m tall, a newly built capital city that went from 30.000 inhabitants to 2 million in around 30 years (including the largest single roof structure in the world), places where it will be +50 in summer and -50 in winter (with gale force winds, if you feel the -50 too warm on its own 🥶). And one of the main cosmodromes, still regularly launching space missions.

I was told to watch ‘The peculiarities of national hunting’ on YouTube before embarking on the trip so as not to be shocked by anything. It wasn’t quite like in the movie but it’s a fun comedy I can highly recommend irrespective 😂😂😂
