The Marlboro Man has left the building.

He got a 4 year run but couldn’t make it happen. Last season must have been the best chance in years for Ferrari getting the world championship back but they ‘failed’ (side note: I don’t think they would have beaten Hamilton & Mercedes even without the mi...

Under pressure Vettel drives like a women. I was a big fan of him when he was young, but now he is only a second class pilot.

 By: Walter2 : January 8th, 2019-05:35
Ferrari is Italia, and Italia is Ferrari. You can criticizce the Vatican, but never Ferrari. They dont make mistakes, they are the mistake! I think the best is, they give ALO a chance for one year, together with Le Clerc and send the german back home to h...

"Drives like a woman"

No more of that.

I personally find such comments offensive. Besides, Walter, I am willing to bet my wife would wipe the floor with you around any neutral track.

I concur!! I taught my wife

How to drive an F1 flappy-paddle manual gearbox in our Maserati GrandSport. Within a month, she’s faster around the track then me - and my dad was a professional race car driver in his younger years so my speed genes are pretty decent! After nearly 20 yea...

yep....

 By: Baron - Mr Red : January 8th, 2019-07:07
my wife's father was a racing driver. He taught my wife to drive and she can kick my ass easily as a driver.

Maybe proper driving shoes would help ;-)

And not those ff-Ing ..... you know what I mean

Did you see that awesome episode of Top Gear?

 By: NickO : January 8th, 2019-07:21
Jeremy Clarkson does a lap of the Nuremberg ring in a Jaguar S Type. Pro Driver Sabine Schmitz says “I can beat that in a van!”. She gets in a Ford Transit van and misses Clarkson’s time by only 9 seconds, LOL. Clarkson is a skilled driver, so pretty sure...

Yes! Big fan of the show.

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : January 8th, 2019-07:24
And of Sabine Schmidt. Damn she can drive! Many YouTube vids where she is destroying other drivers with zwei Finger in die Nase.

One bird makes no summer, this is what we say in Germany. But there a lot of female drivers in the history, not only Sabine Schmitz.

 By: Walter2 : January 8th, 2019-09:03
You are an expert in F1 Arie, why we never have seen a female pilot in F1 ? I think they want and searching this, because it brings viewers and money. This is was the F1 need, Ecclestone always wanted a lady in F1 for better quotes? Susi Stoddard, now Sus...

This is a Fair Question

 By: NickO : January 8th, 2019-10:17
However, to have female talent at the top of the pyramid (Formula One) you need to have significant numbers of female drivers at the other levels of the pyramid - that is, a strong base of female talent. But how many teenage women are there in Karting? In...

There have been in the past.

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : January 8th, 2019-13:32
Physical strength is still a thing. As we see at all physical demanding sports man and woman are separated to make it honest. Secondly there are not many woman active in racing all together so by pure statistics the chance is very slim anyway because let’...

I am sorry, i dont want to attac womens, but i said "under pressure". You can see that every day in traffic, if it gets confusing they get nervous and make rare things.

 By: Walter2 : January 8th, 2019-07:19
I have the experience of 1.500.000 km in ten years german highway, always full speed, not 88 kmh like in other countries. I have seen really dangerous things. Ok, MEA CULPA !

I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt 😀

 By: NickO : January 8th, 2019-07:25
I know what you intended, but perhaps you could have phrased it like this: “Men are more likely to have accidents because they are driving too fast. Women are more likely to have accidents because of an error in judgement”. I think statistically that’s a ...

No problem

We do not need to be political correct, but we do need to (try to) be civilized.

no problem

vettel did and still do crack

Teamwork.

 By: myles721 : January 8th, 2019-06:21
Alonso is probably the finest driver of his generation. Hamilton as well but it is obviously the Mercedes team that makes the difference...Wolff, Lauda et al. Rosberg was very competitive with Hamilton but the constant was the team. Better car, better str...

Alonso is not.

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : January 8th, 2019-06:31
He has got almost every skill needed, but he has a serious lack of team mentality. And I’m doubting is technical understanding / ‘translation’ of the cars as well. He has not been able to bring any improvement at McLaren and he has been saying more than o...

I absolutely agree on his driving skills! No argument there at all.

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : January 8th, 2019-07:18
One of the greatest. Fact is however that none of the top teams want him anymore. It is even said that he walked into the motor home of Ferrari last year offering his services for free (!) in 2019 but they declined.

I agree GM, nobody leave Ferrari, because Ferrari is more than a car for Italiens. That´s what i´ve sown in my first post,

 By: Walter2 : January 9th, 2019-01:46
but some did not undrstand it. Alonso was talking very bad about Ferrari in the two last years in the team, the car was bad and he was right, but this is a no-go in Italia. Nobody is aloud to criticize Ferrari.

totally agree [nt]

 By: Gelato Monster : January 9th, 2019-20:56
Alonso passion is betraying himself.

Partly agree with you there.

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : January 12th, 2019-02:54
But let's not forget that Alonso did that everywhere. McLaren-Mercedes, Ferrari and then again at McLaren. PS Don't think he ever bashed Renault back with Flavio Briatore. Guess not as: 1. Flavio is his manager. 2. He got a WC with them. 3. Flavio orchest...

I’m not the most diplomatic person in the world so haven’t got much rights to make comments BUT

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : January 8th, 2019-06:29
Isn’t that all a bit blunt? Firstly; women usually don’t deliberately crash into other drivers out of anger. Secondly; women crash way less than men so that doesn’t add up as well. Thirdly; what does the Grand Wizard has got to do with Ferrari?
