pop up lights

Apr 08, 2019,09:12 AM

few weeks ago i went to #les100gt a cars event that mostly open the season in France ~50 cars. a very nice week-end of vintage cars & friendships.
i drove my 928S2 and was lucky enough to be parked next to a stunning P400...they have one thing  in common the "pop up light" system...the comparison ends here.

the miura is 12 cyl. Up to you for a ride

Ah ok. We will try to find a moment for the ride! I am impatient to live that moment. The melody of the engine is just fantastic.

I was stuck behind a 928 in the Montblanc Tunnel ( 11 Km ), and the guy in the Porsche had fun accelerating when we were in the tunnel. The melody gave me goose bumps. Hmmmmm! Nicolas

I have had a few pop-up (or hidden) headlight cars but none leave the bulbs exposed like yours

1978 Corvette (dual lights rise powered by motors) 1991 Lotus Elan (dual lights rise powered by Pontiac Firebird motors) 1972 Lotus Elan single headlights rise (often without asking for them; powered by vacuum) 1972 Saab Sonnet single headlights rise Buic...

IMHO

928 and 8 Series E31 are the best pop-up

i'd love to have a 850 in my garage

it's time to buy one before price up

I think the E31 8 Series prices is rising

Because it has much stronger character than the new 8 series. E31 is unique and more avant-garde in so many ways. The new 8 series is gorgeous and probably will be the fastest BMW in production, but it will be just another GT

8 Series holds the distinction in the USA of being the single most expensive production car to run

Combination of complexity, depreciation, fuel consumption, servicing costs and unreliability. I was looking at one then came across the statistics and backed away. Even a $10,000 car still requires parts priced as when it was $100,000, sadly. Mike

Very true

Look how 911 has been growing and gaining in size and weight

My brother in-law had a 928 that I drove a lot
