My friend asked me ... 'can i have your Bimota for the weekend ?'

 

Bim: ... uuummmm ????? You know i love that bike .... what happened to your Ducati ?




Friend: Oh nothing, it's still in the crate ..... so ... a bit difficult right now ..





Bim: Ach so .... you know i take very well care of my Bimota , you can use it but don't crash it please.




Friend: Hey Bim !!! You know i've never crashed a bike in my life !



Bim: Hmmmm, yeah probably, i know you and your friends are decent guys ....



Friend: Offcourse, and always very careful .....



Bim: Sure you never ever had an accident ????



Friend: Absolutely, and always going slow and careful in the bendies ;-) ... never flat-out !!!!



Bim: Okay, as long as you don't take it to the race-track then i'm fine with it .



Friend: Sure !!! We'll let you know how the race went .. errr i mean the ride ....... trust us ..... ;-)




MORAL OF THE STORY:
Don't trust anyone, and especially NOT your friends.

.. a watch can be dropped off course . In my case i off course knew they were going to race the bike, if they'd crashed it they would have payed me back anyway. It actually happened with the CBR600 i owned before the Bimota. A friend took it for a ride an...

.... i got rid of it the moment i realised i was going to kill myself with it. I must say that i sometimes regret selling it, but on the other hand you cannot keep every toy you ever cherished, time to move on !

I just got my Ducati back from a friend who had it on loan, times have changed though. My brakes and tires are still up to date 😂. No leaks or dents to be seen, i guess we are all getting older.
