I have always wondered why...
...the problem of tire noise (mentioned in the article) has not been solved. One of the prime considerations for me when buying a car is how quiet it is. As for EVs not paying gas taxes to maintain roads, don't worry. California and other states are considering taxing all cars by how many mile they are driven. I suppose that would work, but I am opposed to it if it involves any kind of vehicle tracking technology. It's nobody's damned business where I go : )
