The standard brakes on these Scoobies were always shit.
But a lot of upgrade aftermarket systems were available. I remember driving the RHD P1 Prodrive ... which was a true beast, very fast and agile, very very light footed as well. Filip

As the engine had more oomph, too Plus it was an uphill section and I was not bold enough to make the brakes glow uphill
