I think if this and a handful of JA pieces were released now instead of 15-20 years ago, they would have a lot more interest and excitement. There's a place for traditional but high end horology that's dominated today by Independents and FPJ and Patek. Also finishing that is top notch.
I might become a hardcore JA collector after my first piece!
