Wrong dates
I guess there is something wrong in your assumption about the start of the F-serie
The D-serie started in the early 90's (1990 or 1991 it's not pretty clear) and extended till the late 90's.
The most part of the reference 15002, for example, have D-8xxxx cases and were produced during 1996/1997.
The E-serie should have been started in 1998/1999 and with increased volume of production should have been closed in the mid 2000's.
Someone says that a known fact is the F-serie started in 2004 so the F58xxx is pretty congruent with the 10/2006 date written on the warranty booklet
