A few days ago, I had the opportunity to meet the owner of a very rare watch: the Royal Oak Jumbo 14802 in platinum. Indeed, we don't see such watch on every street corner because only 8 pieces were produced. The history behind this particular Jumbo is ve...

that\'s indeed a rare and special piece. Plat and that dial - killer....

I read your post in French last night and I found this timepiece wonderful... especially its frozen dial (more and more used nowadays by watch brands that is really nice to give a "structure" to a dial)

The platinum RO jumbo is so elusive many people even doubt it's existence. Thanks for sharing this very nice write-up and wonderful photos. You have just made many AP lovers here excited (sorry I took the liberty to assume for all of you AP lovers )!

Very nice! A truly GADA watch!

Loved this one. And for me, being a prototype , the unfinished movement only adds up to this incredible piece. André

A great article to start the day

Thank you, Fx. I find the real beauty here to be the special stone dial and the full platinum case. My first reaction about the non decorated movement is "that is not very AP-like". However, in this case and knowing the story, it does add to the originali...

Interesting and insightful...
