I never had any problems with a rubber bezel. When they age, they do get harder and shiny, as your photos show. But that is a wonderful character in my eyes!

After 18 years my Rubberclad still glows like a torch in the dark. And what wrist presence this watch has with 42mm. Yes it’s big but wears so comfortably on my wrist. Hearing so much bad about the rubber bezel put me off buying one for many years but now...

I have a soft spot for the rubber clad.
Yours is really a great example and still in good shape after 18 years. Fantastic. My first AP was a rubber clad RO Offshore with white face. I really liked it since it was my first AP. I haven't noticed them in a while. They were popular a while back and...
