I do not disagree with your assessment of the subdials and date locations. A clear result of using the same movement from the 39mm version in the newer 41mm version.
Now, when the in-house AP chrono movement is revealed, let's hope this design is addressed.

Friends, As mentioned over at the VC forum, I have been in a Sport Chic mode lately… And while in that mode, naturally I need to visit the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak! This time the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph in Pink Gold, 41mm in diameter / 11mm...
I don't mean to be deliberately biased, but this AP vs the PP 5980R is no comparison IMO.
Dial layout, movement, color...with respect, I'll take the PP all day, every day 😳

Yes, both "Sports Chic", chronograph's and coloured gold... But one being a classic chronograph while the other is more of a concept chrono. Also very different in character. Best Blomman

I would expect no less. I would also choose the 5980R over this particular ROC.
