but the warranty of a watch or a car is on the item and not exclusively for the first owner and so it should be transferable. Yes, I know some brands will insist that the name of the original owner is written on the certificate or guarantee but this should not negate the warranty should the watch be sold during the warranty period.

Can anyone clarify if the warranty of a new watch transfers to the new owner? There have been so many conflicting opinions regarding the warranty not transferring to a new owner so just want to know if anyone happens to know for sure.
