Part 4: ROO Tour de France

Jan 24, 2010,02:39 AM

Here are two ROO. The second one is a LE dedicated to the "Tour de France Automobile". Sadly, I don't remember the name of the first one also inspired by motor racing.

SIHH 2010: my not so comprehensive AP report

 By: foversta : January 24th, 2010-02:36
Audemars-Piguet presented a lot of novelties during the SIHH. I had an appointment with Helene from Audemars Piguet France on Tuesday but, hopefully for AP, I have never seen such activitiy in a booth. It was like being in a center of a whirlwind. Helene ...

Part 1: ROO Grand Prix Collection

 By: foversta : January 24th, 2010-02:37
3 cases will be available: forged carbon, PG and platinum. Caliber is the 3126/3840. They all have a black ceramic bezel and a Mega Tapisserie motif on the dial. I couldn't shoot the Pt version. Fr.Xavier...

Thanks for the report. Quick Question...

Between the all carbon version and the Rg version, which one do you prefer in real life?

Part 2: Jules Audemars Automatic & QP

 By: foversta : January 24th, 2010-02:38
Let's go to a more classic style with the Jules Audemars Automatic and the QP. I'm happy to see the beautiful caliber AP2120 in this context which is perfect for it. The QP is available in PG with 2 dials, I really appreciate the silver dial one. Fr.Xavie...

Part 3: RO Equation of Time & Calendar (Day & Date)

 By: foversta : January 24th, 2010-02:38
Two nice RO with complications. My only concern is that the EOT loses its nice EOT hand and gets a more usual one. I live the "old style" of the Calendar one. Fr.Xavier...

Well, since it seems the Tour Auto (France) and National Classic (Belgium)

have been "released" (sort of) I guess the "cat's out of the bag." (actually, I think I understand the problem, and this might apply to the Pride of Argentina as well - since these are "event specific" or "region specific" pieces, they are not globally "l...

Anyone else catch the problem with the prototype?

Not sure...

 By: roman : January 25th, 2010-14:07
what do you see? Love the bezel.

Well take a closer look at that bezel...

 By: MichaelC : January 25th, 2010-18:39
And by the way I love it too. While there is little brushed surface to it, if you look closely you will see that it is misaligned as mounted. The brush strokes in the metal are running from left to right instead of top to bottom as we are used to. What do...

thanks for the post!

my favorite is the RO skeleton also! WOW! unlike Oliver's wife, I think it's beautiful and "not bling."

We're doing well - thanks! There are too many temptations this year - and the RO skeleton is definitely one of my favorites! I do hope we'll see you again next time we're in CA.

AP's RO skeleton is very tempting!

Hello eloise! We're looking forward to your next visit to SoCal so please let us know when you do. Hope to see a AP RO skeleton on your wrist soon! -MW

Part 5: Millenary Quincy Jones and Chronograph

 By: foversta : January 24th, 2010-02:40
The Millenary becomes black with the Quincy Jones LE (500 watches). You will notice the piano key motif. The Chronograph is the second one of the Millenary collection and has a beautiful PG case. Fr.Xavier...

Part 6: RO Skeleton

 By: foversta : January 24th, 2010-02:41
We finish the report with my fav AP novelty: the RO Skeleton. Thanks a lot to Juliane who welcomed me for this shooting. SS or PG, both versions are very attractive. The skeletonized AP3120 is a true beauty. Fr.Xavier This message has been edited by fover...

you should bribe your wife with something that "blings" then she might change her mind... lol Cheers

Bling - would be a very bad idea ...

 By: small-luxury-world : January 24th, 2010-10:40

Thanks Xavier,
