I would keep the Patek...
But that is because I already have two AP's with a third one on the way. For me the 5980 will be the next watch that I commit to if I decide that I want 4 high end watches. I personally would like a Patek as one of the watches that I own, having been to two Patek events where the collection is available to try on it seems that the 5980 is the only watch that doen't look daft (tiny) on my wrist.

The 5980 has the advantage on the water resistance of 120m over the 50m on AP. and 5980 really true sport watch. I heard some member have wore them all the times during gym, at beach, during sport activities etc.
