Dear friends,

I recently had the pleasure of acquiring a stunning Audemars Piguet Royal Oak in black ceramic. After wearing it for 41 consecutive days, I’ve realized just how special this timepiece truly is.

Spending this much time with one watch usually exposes its flaws - or its brilliance. In the case of the Royal Oak, it’s been nothing but a joy. The ceramic feels like a second skin, the finish is flawless, and it’s as at home with a t-shirt as it is with a suit. It’s become more than just a watch; it’s part of my daily life, my style, and my story.

But here’s the kicker: I’m starting to feel a bit guilty. I have some truly remarkable pieces in my collection that I love wearing, but right now, I just can’t bring myself to take off the Royal Oak. So my other watches, which I absolutely adore, are gathering dust. The Royal Oak has me under its spell, and while I know I’ll eventually rotate back to the rest of my collection, for now, it’s firmly stuck on my wrist.

I’m curious: have you had similar experiences with one of your watches?

I often do that. I can stay one full month with the same watch. In fact, except when I am on holidays, I prefer having the same watch for one, two, three or more weeks. It allwos me to better understand and enjoy the watch in question.

I’m lucky if I can wear the same timepiece more than 12 hours. On the weekend, my crazy addiction/obsession makes me change perhaps three times a day. What can I say! I envy your patience.

On my side I don’t recall wearing a watch for that long, but where in the past I would switch each day now I wear more of my watch 4-6 days in a row at least as I only kept the ones that really passion me!

I am very glad you have an AP, and the ONE that really sings loudest to you. I always call myself a watch enthusiast. It is so fun to have more than 1 brand. AP has something for everyone, IMO, especially with the rise of the CODE collection.
