I don't care for them.
The fake croc on top of rubber goes with other watches OK, I don't like it on AP. I feel AP's wide rubber straps for tang buckles are more than adequate.
For a Survivor, this is not rubber, but an awesome look:

I like the one on the right too. Personally I don’t like any croc (fake or real) on these watches, rubber or some casual choice (canvas) is best.
BUT, what do I know. I’ve never owned an offshore!
