I guess if we look at any watch that goes up in value we can say it is a good thing BUT the fact of the matter is that most watches depreciate, not the other way around.
Of I look at my personal collection, I have been lucky to purchase quite a few watches that have increased in value, some dramatically, but that was not the initial intent of the purchase. And furthermore, they were not nearly as expensive as they are today.
This does not account for the overwhelming majority that have gone down in value which is the norm. I know people like to focus on value retention and treat watches more and more like assets and commodities these days but it is a but silly to do so IMHO. So many better ways to invest IMHO π€·ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ
