Tradition d'Excellence Cabinet Piece No 4

This won't be re-released. It was a limited edition of 20. It was piece 4 of a wider series of 8 cabinet pieces, each of which demonstrated a different aspect of AP's master watchmaking ability. IMO this is the best RO ever made.

Was thinking about this seldom seen piece from '99...

10-day Tourbillon Chrono...

17 years and it still looks incredibly cool and futuristic.

It was way ahead of it's time. It reminds me of the first time I sported a white dial rubber clad. I was blown away and thought it was something from the future. This complication is mind blowing on the RO. Thanks for sharing the photo.

Absolutely Awesome

Always loved that model. Beyond a Grail. Just from another world. Thanks for the pic.

Precisely! 17yrs ago AP had this complication/concept when..

..most other brands were jewelers etc or simply didnt exist. The skeleton dial, exhibition back, Power reserve, lume everything about this piece fits the current trend. Infact, the whole string of that DNA seems to have become dominant. I do wonder sometim...

I liked it a lot. But that was at a time when Tourbillon were still prestigious.

Nowadays, there are tourbillons everywhere... I am working on that topic I will post on the JLC forum, one day. Best, nicolas

True, with the glut comes the restless dissatisfaction, the anxiety

which turned most collectors to become traders. We all witness that the turnaround time - from retail purchase to grey mkt- is in months now

Yes, too bad. [nt]

It's great

But the tourbillon does not really attract me. Tenndays power reserve and chronograph - yes. Best Kari

Still looks fresh, modern, and all around awesome
