11.59 Chronograph as a daily driver

Good afternoon. I see here more and more people gravitate to admiring Code 11.59 for its complexity and new design. I wonder if the 11.59 chronograph can be used as a tool watch for travelling, working and admiring at the beach. Does anyone have such an e...

Travel and work - perfect. At the beach?

I would pass on this. The case would bring home quite a bit of sand, I fear. There were movement issues early on with the flyback chronograph. I understand they have all been corrected. Scratch resistance - my CODE Starwheel does not have a spec on it and...

Point well made about minimal dimensions

The fact that the watch has almost no bezel and a protruding sapphire crystal is a good sign for no scratches.

Yes, that is exactly it.

And it offers quite a unique look, at least for me, as I don't have any other watches with such a thin bezel. BTW, a BIG welcome here!!! I just noticed these are your first posts. Please enjoy the forums and participate as much as you like!

I can envision sand getting into the lugs and I cringe!!

Maybe if they use the new "sand gold" material for a CODE 11.59 case, then it can be a beach watch ;-)

Hehehe, yes!

Not a beach watch, unless someone watches it while u go into the water

To me this is the biggest blunder

Hard to explain why they couldn't engineer decent WR out of the case considering the number of years it took them.

Your version in the wrist shot is my original favorite! I love the Code chronographs, especially this with the brushed black dial and ceramic body.

As a daily I enjoy wearing mine for stretches of time, but I am protective. And as the others have indicated, I wouldn’t go near any significant body of water with any Code. Washing my hands is as close as I get.

Beautiful piece!!

I am hoping to take my starwheel to swim at my next vacation! I'm certain the watches are tested well, but I always go to the boutique to check the seals and water resistance. Many thanks for sharing! One of my favorites . Peter

This is exact the a code I consider buying.
