New AP owner says hi!
Hello to all,
Many thanks to everyone here who has share all things AP here including pics, write-up, party photos etc... I have joined the club with my recent acquisition and of course I'm here to share the mandatory wrist shot, it's a must right? : )
Months of reading up the forums and contemplating have led me to this watch. I would especially like to thank Harry for his excellent comparison with the Nautilus and also Thomas et al who has posted on the Jumbo and cal 2121, leading to my choice.
Everything about this watch is so right, a relatively big watch which is thin and wearable at the same time. And the history, yes the history behind the watch swings it over the edge for me. I felt a bit of an odd ball paying more for an "old" watch, (without quick set date, without a second hand and without a screw lock crown). So please tell me anyway I've done well for a newbie : )
