I remember discussing with the young watchmaker at the dinner in Apicius
He told me it was really to prove they could do it and go that way i.e. the very long power reserve while remaining constant in the acccuracy. So, I imagine the longer the power reserve with keeping accuracy is and the better was the work of the watchmake...

The strap is not Lange
I am using a Hirsch-strap with an upper side made of leather and an under side made of rubber. The strap is completely water resistant an very very durable. Regards, Sascha
