White gold is going to be coated with something, which makes fixing up case dings a little harder. Platinum would be better for maintenance, but it’s crazy heavy. I mean, the reality is: be careful, it’s not a dive watch, so don’t damage it in the first p... 

Rhodium-plated white gold was more common years ago. Lange never did that, though. They always used white gold with a high enough palladium content such that it didn't need plating. So your WG Lange is not coated or plated in any way. And if you ever do d...
