I’ve been reading about this particular watch...for some time. And would like to hear more inputs specifically the WG model. Thanks in advance!

A mechanical marvel, for sure, but I’ve never felt that Lange got the aesthetics right. The Patek PCCs are IMO better designed if not as mechanically impressive. Cheers, John

I know you’re talking gold, but I was looking at platinum. ALS is a beautiful design, amazing movement, attractive gray dial, and about $100k less money. Patek gold/orange dial is weird, it’s $100k more, and it says “Patek Philippe” on the dial. I’d buy t...

The Patek 5970... The Vacheron: The Lange. The Lange has the advantage of its movement, which is hard to beat. But I dislike the small sub dials in the months and days sub dials. Moreover, the Datograph PC is the less legible among the three. Best, Nicola...  

what you said is true about the sub dials of the Lange. In your opinion,is the VC and PP better than the Lange?

Thanks for the points you posted. Between the two,the Dato Perp is the clear winner. Wonder why your friend chose the Datograph lumen though.

I agree that the legibility of the Month and Days indicators are a bit harder compared to PP5270. Yet; there's a reason for that in particular for Lange's design language. Although the aesthetical application is purely subjective, I appreciate the thought...  

You have certainly made me understand the reason behind the Dato Perp’s “complicated” dial. Lange has always been about symmetry and their uniqueness compared to their Swiss counterparts. And I agree that the grey dial is a killer!

These are by far my two favorite brands. I can share a bit my thoughts if you will allow me. I own two of each: a Lange 1 TZ in platinum and the Triple Split and a Patek 5270p (salmon dial) and a Nautilus 5990. Each of these pieces have very, very differe... 

the feed is very helpful. It’s quite evident,the PP is the more elegant watch. Not taking anything away from the Lange,it has it’s own appeal. Thanks for sharing the link.

That's a really great feature that I wish the Patek would have.

The PT version never excited me because of the dial color - which Lange uses for most PT not black pieces and which is a bit too dull for my taste. I always loves the WG version, here everything works for me. As usual you have to see it in the metal, on p...
