Some live pictures of the Lange & Sohne Datograph Lumen, seen at the SIHH.

I will not review this watch, as Fx did it very well here:

But I will share some pictures and thoughts about this watch, which was unveiled in October 2018. 

The work oof light and transparency is nice, on this version. It gums a bit the details I don't like on the Datograph 2d generation, specially a feeling of emptiness of the dial, the presence of the power reserve indicator which is not my taste. 

41 mm platinum case, that is much bigger ( + 2 mm )  than the first generation, and thicker, though, compared to the 12, 8 mm of the first version. 






I could not take lume shots, but I borrowed one to Lange: 



The movement is, as always, a feast for the eyes... 



This is not my favorite Lange Lumen, as I much prefer the Lange One Moonphase among the 4, for its poetry: 



But still, a nice looking one... Limited to 200 pieces.

i might be pessimistic...the original dato has a charm that is very different....

The green lume is bewitching. Hopefully that is a true representation of the lume effect. Thanks for the fine photos. M4

The 2nd Gen Dato is a watch I have never liked. Why? Because Gen1 was perfect.

The Gen2 destroys the lovely triangular dial layout of the 1, and the case size on the original is better for the watch. That said, if I had to own and wear a Gen2, it would be this new version. I guess the see through dial helps to mask the dreadful PR i...
