I have learned over time to do just what you have said. It is easy to get caught up in what is more "limited" or "rare". But the bottom line is you are going to be the wearer of your selection, and you must follow your heart.
As to the original question, I am a big fan of enamel dials and like the VC quite a bit. But even if they cost the same I would likely choose the Richard Lange. After handling several a few weeks ago I can't get it out of my mind. Winding it was incredible, and the case is just superb.
