Annual calendar chrono..... I find teh complication odd. A chrono is a sports function. Pairing it with an annual calendar seems an odd combination for me. I like purity....so prefer my chronos to be just chronos...or split chronos. If I was going for a big complication, I would want a chrono with a perpetual calendar to go the full way rather than some of teh way via an annual calendar chrono. I think that probably sounds somewhat weird, but that is how i think of it. It is why I just won't contemplate a Patek 5960....i see it as a halfway house for my taste.

Good first impressions there
I believe the inner sapphire is antireflection coated which gives a clear look upon the dial. Overall a very intricate watch that conveys this fact immediately to the spectator.
It is when you feel the miss that you know how much you love it. No doubt that you will miss it a lot.

.....i have learnt over a prolonged period.... that my gut instinct can be wrong. A part of that is my own professional training. Whereas many are trained not to be wrong, i am trained to expect be wrong and then recognise that....its counter-intuitive.

This Datograph is an Annual Calendar Chrono?
I thought it's just a pure Chrono with Date function? I'm also debating my exit watches, about getting a complication "chrono + PC" or just pure chrono and a pure PC.
I actually didn't describe it as annual calendar chrono....
.......but I was trying to make the point that I don't do complications with chronos at all....but if i did it would be perpetual. So, the Datograph is very much a complication that goes against some of my rules.

I never liked the look of it much, but seeing it in yellow gold spurred a change of heart. NOW I get it, and I can appreciate it much more in all metals. I'm curious, what's your buckle situation -- deployant or tang?

Beautiful watch! but...
When I had the dato, just released it, I found it too top heavy. I really prefer the dimensions of the journe centigraph. 40mm wide, under 10mm thick.
funny how tastes differ....
.....it is its heaviness and depth that attract me. Whereas I find the Journe Centigraph too unbalanced by the subdials.
Do you wear it on a tang buckle?
When I tried the platinum datograph,I got the impression it had be worn as tight as possible. ( Definitely not too tight ) Best, Ahmed
