Well, no big secret!
Actually it´s basically an IKEA dustbin as a "light box", to avoid reflections. Looks strange, i tell you...
Which did cause a couple of amused remarks, when i pulled it out for the pics... smile
Carrying mobile photo stuff to me is a compromise between handling/weight/setup time and results, thus i find this rather practical. The dust bin does have the valuable benefit of being a great storage box at the same time smile

For the results, here´s a really big one; actually that´s just cut, but not resized and minimal photoshop afterwork (it´s really hard to avoid dust and speckles, which do the piece no honour):

G'day, sorting through SIHH impressions, i found this one a nice view. Well, one of the unintended shots and actually mis-focussed (the idea was to picture the seconds hand, which turned out better in a different picture). But then - ever seen the undersi...

Hi Edwin, thanks a lot! It´s been fun, which is not the least due to the beautiful and interesting watches! I´m in hope there´s something of interest to share, so hang in there The "Lange 31" indeed features a stop second, with it´s lever being visible in...

my "movement shots" almost always turn out bad. What is your "secret"? picture by SteveG showing the stop second lever on a Lange-1 : Notice the caliber number being L901.4 instead of L901.0 Edwin...

fine too!) Your discovery of the underside of the seconds-hand reminded me of the below similar surprise, one of the reasons I love photographing watches. This is a crop from a picture intended to show the escape and fourth wheel bridge work, but ended up...

Hi Steve, words from the master of watch pics are always appreciated! It´s been really fun, with the limited gears and time during a busy fair adding a small challenge. Oh wow, that shot is very nice! They don´t call it "mirror polishing" for nothing Cool...
