A. Lange & Söhne

Look closely at the "A. Lange & Shne" logo as it appears in various places on Lange's watches, in Lange's printed and other marketing materials, etc. You'll notice that sometimes the ampersand (the "&" symbol) has a flat top, while at other times...

They all are cutoff except for the Cabaret Darth. I can't figure out the pattern, as I originally thought if it were a straight line versus a curve layout. But I have the cutoff on both types. The Anniversary is a straight line, but it is cutoff. What do ...

I looked at my lange's : Dial - flat top Case - round top Movement - round top But the new lange's eg dato updown and 1815 pc rattrapant : Dial - flat top Case - round top Movement - flat top So perhaps it's not on purpose...

Have round tops on the dial.. This post triggered some OCD in me.. Haha

Ok...I tried to crack the code...to no avail. I don't get it. There must be some rhyme to the reason...after all, it's their corporate logo! Even on their website and corporate literature...the ampersand is cut-off. I have 7 pieces that I've checked on: 1...  

I nose about to intern, i did not find this graphics, neither in the 30 '' esperluettes de la typographie'' Perhaps it is an exclusive ''Lange''

DIALS: The ampersand ("&") has (1) a round top on all dials with a horizontal "A. Lange & Söhne" logo and (2) a flat top on all dials with a curved "A. Lange & Söhne" logo EXCEPT for the Anniversary Langematik, which has a flat-top ampersand a...

Hi Craig, In addition to the Anniversary, I believe that these current models are all exceptions to your "Dial Rule" that horizontal logos always come with rounded tops. ' ...
