Lovely Soirée!

You have a beauty on your wrist!  The way it looks like a totally different watch on the straps (great combos btw!) is a huge part of the appeal - even on the same strap, the way the light plays with the dial makes it feel like a new watch every time.  As an owner of another MOP variant, I personally understand how this could be the last Lange standing!

What is interesting with Lange is that the Soirée 'name/designation' has been in use for a number of watches within the Lange 1 (both regular and little) and Cabaret lines.  Yours (a ref. 110.029?) was I believe the first to be referred to as the Soirée back in the early 2000s (probably launched in 2000/2001).  The MOP guilloche dial was introduced shortly after it and seems to have also used the Soirée naming/designation.

CR, a fellow member here, maintains an incredible publicly available Lange database that I find to be the most accurate out there (not sure I can post the link but will defer to the mods).  CR's notes indicate that the 110.029 was the original Soiree and I am inclined to agree with his assessment.  Interestingly, the warranty cards on these MOP variants did not even carry the word "Soirée" when these watches were first introduced but Lange seems to have added it a few years later (e.g., my RG variant ref. 110.031 from around 2006 has the word "Soirée" next to the ref. number on the warranty card... go figure!).

I would definitely be interested to hear from fellow members who own the MOP variants whether their warranty cards use the word "Soirée" to try to track down when it first appeared (as that, to me at least, is as 'official' as it gets).  The only common thread I can gather as to the "Soirée" naming seems to be a MOP dial (i.e., all watches with the "Soirée" designation have MOP dials but interestingly not all MOP-dialed Lange watches have the "Soirée" designation so to speak).

Anyway, enough with the nerdiness on my part - as you can tell I may have been researching this way too much!

Hope you continue to wear this stunner in good health!

All the best,
Walid

Hi all! New here on the Lange threads! Owned a few Langes but I’m down to one. Haven’t seen too many of these around and wanted to share. The dial is quite amazing, sometimes looks like it’s a flat white while in other angles we get the colors of the nacr...

Thank you!

Appreciate the insight, I did some research (on this forum) and found out the same information that you provided in that the original Soiree was the one I have (you are correct in the reference being 110.029) and that the MOP guilloche adapted the name as...

Lovely reference!
