...I've always liked the time on the right side. Not a fan of the way Lange does the sky for the moon phase though...small thing.

although, I tend to prefer manual wind movements.

But I think Lange has more interesting pieces in that price range, like the Zeitwerk or Dato.

For that amount of money, I will probably go for a ZW date

The color-matched date background is a big plus (one reason I don't own the black dial L1 moonphase). Overall great aesthetics, and a nice automatic movement with an interesting bridge layout. Cheers, John

I assume the moonphase is also the day night indicator? May have stars when representing nighttime? 140 is high though

And of course the instantaneous date jumps.

Pricey though. They should just bring back the Darth

Expensive, but even at this price point most perpetuals are not instantaneous so well done Lange.

How legible are the hands against the black dial in lower lighting?

It's a nice piece, legible, with the white-on-black date discs and leap year indicator (red-on-black for the "4"/leap year) making this a harmonious dial. I am still not in love with the day/night display on the moonphase disc. I like to see the stars all...
