The german silver patinas like that over time. Here's a shot of my 2020 Zeitwerk which looks completely different. Not nearly as much depth/richness/color to the plates with german silver on them (yet!)

I emailed them to see if it's the same across models. I'm really hoping I can get away with leaving it on my zeitwerk.

I called the boutique recently and they said the patina will be removed. I think it is inevitable. [nt]
