The additional complication (luminescent big date) by itself is not that useful but it led to give at the same time a very contemporary and technical design to the Grand Lange 1. It is a watch I really appreciate. Fx ...

I much prefer the new iteration of the Grande Lange One, and am waiting to see a black dialed version in platinum. But Vive La difference! Best, Nicolas

That I have seen of this new piece. And it looks better in this one, than when I first saw. But seeing it in the flesh, hopefully, sometime in 2013 will be the deciding factor :)

Honestly I never even considered Lange before the zeitwerk. I found their watches beautiful to look at from the back but too stuffy. I hope I get an opportunity to wear this piece on the flesh. It's interesting how many different faces this watch has. Thx... 

I find that characterization surprising or maybe im misunderstanding. Amongst the high end watchmakers: pp, als, ap, vc, you name it, i think lange is the least stuffy design-wise.

Just stating my opinion. I love my zeitwerk though. It's taking major wrist time away from my Other watches including those you mentioned.

but time will tell.
