A. Lange & Söhne

I would trade my LA for this RLPLM

 

in a second (allthough I realize that I need to add a little extra :-D)

Of course I would love the new watch to have a PR indicator (most Lange
chronometers had one, correct?) and you all know I need a date on my watches
but ... the back of this watch with its fusee&chain and the incredible
technical achievement of being able to match mainspring characteristic to
the fusee-diameter, the incredible nice looking balance cock and escapewheel
cock ....

Phew!

If I could change something it would be the hour/minute chapter on the
dial - I much prefer the one on the LA or, better, the original 1815 dial
with its dots and clovers at each 5 minute marker ...

My portable LCD display is about to die on me as it is only displaying a few
colors (mostly grey) so making a PS image of an enamel dial with
dots&clovers has to wait.

And you're right: it's difficult to have a judgement about a timepiece only with pictures. We need to see the "real thing" and even in this case, we need time to get a final position. The Langematik Anniversary was the only modern Lange with an enamel dia...

I agree with Nicolas.Obviously a Lange but,,,,,,lack of the wow! factor in the pics IMHO .And moving the seconds in the 1815/langematik style took the distinctive aspect of the RL away.I don t quite understand that!Nicolas, we were hoping for a RL le in y... 

Maybe we'll have the " Wow Effect " when seen in the flesh, Mo?

It will depend a lot of the impact of the enamel dial seen in real... And of the movement, too. And how do we feel with such a watch on the wrist? I think, that the problem ( at least for me ) is that I'm the Happy owner of a lovely Langematik Anniversary...
