Finally it is with me, one of the most beautiful Chronos: 1815 Chronograph. Originally I was fascinated by the Datograph. I saw wonderful pictures from Edwin in the other Lange Forum and was deeply impressed. I was sure, someday I should own a Dato… Last ...  

I much prefer your version than the later one... Busier dial, yes, but more powerful, less " empty ". Best, Nicolas

I struggled with the "Dato or 1815 Chrono?" and in the end just fell in love with the 1815 Chrono. Much of that process took place here with some wonderful photographs of 1815 Chrono's. Enjoy a wonderful watch! ...  

My experience with the Dato vrs the Chrono were quite similar to yours, and the end result was the same, My 1815 Chrono has become, essentially, my go to Lange for regular wear. Wear it in the best of health.

I can't say the opposite, as I bought my 1815 chrono 2 months ago. As some others here, I hesitated with the Dato and finally has choosen the 1815 for many reasons. Congrats and enjoy it !
