That's really the watch that sold me on Lange

My first was a Lange 1, which I loved. Shortly after I got the Lange 1, I found that I couldn't stop looking at the rose gold Emil Lange 1815 Moonphase. Everything about it was perfect -- the warm, whimsical dial; the case diameter for my small wrist; the caseback metal-to-sapphire ratio (can't stand thick/wide metal caseback rims with undersized transparent casebacks, when the movement is too small for the case) -- everything. It remains an unusual and quite spectacular Lange. Those years around 1999, shortly before Blumlein died, gave staying power to the Lange brand.

Classic proportions in a great looking package. What more can one ask for?

Not much more, for sure.
