Not just the PLM?

Such that it has an extra bridge for the central seconds geartrain vs eg a 1815 or Saxonia time only. Having watches with central seconds are therefore a little thicker due to this bridge. It doesn't have a constant force unlike the plm and plm tourbillon...

I was confused when skyeriding mentioned it is the RL and not PLM - I thought he thought I meant yours was a PLM and not the basic RL when I mentioned both the Zeitwerk and RL have a constant force escapement Cheers Robin

The bread and butter RL does not have any kind of constant force mechanism like a fusee & chain or remontoire so to speak. The way a normal RL achieves a constant-force-like timekeeping results is by cutting power to the watch at the 38th hour mark (w... 

ok now I recall - at my Lange akademie I learned that the RL is very accurate and precise for 38 hours and they restrict the power reserve at 38 hours to ensure the torque is constant for 38 hours. I mistook this for constant force escapement . Thanks a l... 

...but the RL has markings of 1/6 second (not 1/5). The movement beats at 21,600 per hour, which is 6 per second so each mark corresponds to one tick.

It is a more meaningful number especially for timing precision in my opinion. You can easily write down 2.4 seconds, but not 2.16667 seconds! Also, 1/5 to me is more aesthetically pleasing and less crammed. At least, not as bad as certain watches with mis...

it's nice to see them juxtaposed. Typically we see the ZW as a stand-alone. It is actually beautifully contrasted with the RL to show two very different ways Lange lets us tell time. The photo is gorgeous, as are the watches.
