... that is EXACTLY how I percieve many Langes also: the hands look to me like swords, from a gladiator, mercyless moving, showing that time pasts! It is not only heads or tails to me: any watch is completely and utterly a visual and haptical experience, ...

but the Datograph is one of Lange's signature pieces. I've handled both many times (the dato more) and I would not hesitate to get the Dato over the Perpetual in platinum. If we are talking about the rose gold versions of each then its a tougher choice bu... 

I am considering the PT pieces, and I am inclining to the Datograph too. First, the movement being out of this world as you have said and I also much prefer dark colour dial. Best, Goh

Its a good question. If I had to choose I would say tails for the simple fact that their are a lot of of dials out there from other manufactures that look as nice or nearly as nice as these two but no one comes close to the look of these movements! Your a... 

Very characteristic to Lange, in both cases. But I see what you mean, when you refer to the Lange movements. As to know if these 2 are Lange's all time best offerings, I would unavoidably include the Cabaret Platinum / Black dial, and the 1815 Moonphase p...

What I see here is a superb Duo. The Lange One Moonphase is exquisite. As well as the Saxomat. A great pleasure to see them side by side. Thanks a lot for the share. Nicolas

About the Pt Lange 1, you're right, this is another iconic and very important watch, in a Lange Collection. Maybe one day I will get one, but for the moment, I have stick to my plans, which are the Cabaret platinum black dial, and the 1815 Moonphase, plat...
