Early dial variation?
Looking to learn more from Lange scholars...
I was perusing eBay the other day and came across this first generation 1815 U/D (221.021). It has a Certificate of Origin from Lange so I will assume that is in fact genuine. One thing that caught my eye was that the font was different and the Auf/Ab subdial is "connected" compared to my 221.021.The serial number on the eBay listing is 114xxx so it's quite an early one compared to my 140xxx.
I know dial variations aren't uncommon in the early years of Lange, so I'm curious if anyone know approx. when Lange made the update to the dial on these references?
