This was my absolute grail as well, although I went with the mark 2 version, and I thought that the series 1 movements (with the preload) were phased out circa 2016-2017. Can you please elaborate how you found out the case maker information? Also, curious to see a picture of the engraving ... mine looks something like this ...

How did you know it was by Simone Rauchfuß? Is she the best engraver or the most sought after one? How many engravers does Lange have?
I met one of the engravers
in Hong Kong recently who told me who did it. She’s his mentor as she’s been with the company since 1997. There are 5 working there.

That's great you were able to meet one of the engravers. I heard that they could tell who did it since each one apparently has their own style. For some reason I thought there were about 10 engravers...good to know there are only 5. Thanks!

Lange case manufacturer info...
On the back of most Lange cases (probably all modern Lange cases), in the same radius where you see the caseback number and hallmarks, you'll often see an abbreviation for the case manufacturer: SUG=Sächsische Uhrentechnologie GmbH Glashütte (Sinn-owned) ...
