Dear friends, I’ve been thinking about the Richard Lange Jumping Seconds - do any of you have any hands on wrist experience? Your views are much appreciated!

Go. Platinum or white gold are awesome.

Not too big nor too thick, comfortable to wear, superb dial and awesome movement. A beautiful piece of horology. ...

I do like the white metal! I’m torn between this and the RL PLM....🙄

That I almost pulled a trigger.

I tried it and filmed it for 10 seconds during a Lange anniversary event in 2019

My favourite modern Lange for sure. I don’t think we can upload videoclips here so here is a link with the small clip. That Lange watch is the true purists choice I would say. Breathtaking and wearable. They also had the 300K perpetual tourbillon dato wit...

Tried on the RG version. Case dimensions are perfect for me. The movement is really nice and I liked the complication.

Wasn‘t able to fall in love with the dial layout, though. The arrangement of the split yet overlapping hours and minutes just isn‘t my thing. It‘s alright as long as the hour hand is in the left half of its subdial and the minute hand in the right half of...

It‘s not a watch to quickly read the time during a business meeting or something similar. More of a conplication experiment on the wrist.

It‘s still in my Top 3 of currently available Lange watches and I‘d choose it over the PLM.

Beautiful watch, great movement. But for me a bit disappointing in person.

Have to adjust for expectations I guess The main issue, and to be very clear a subjective one, is the flatness of the dial. It is too plain and makes the whole watch somewhat underwhelming. My choice is the Walter Lange homage jumping seconds one. Not a r...

Agreed.

I prefer white metals 90% of the time unless there is something exceptional about the example in RG, YG, etc...in this case I like both RG and WG for different reasons 🤔😉🤷‍♂️

WG with black dial is just STUNNING and a bit more dynamic and a sporty RG with silver dial would be more classic and conservative I am torn since I already have the WG RL PLM black dial so would I get the JS with a black dial in WG to match or go for the...

As a general rule I prefer white metals as they are discrete and very wearable. I feel differently about Lange as they are so traditional that rose or yellow is absolutely beautiful and you can’t go wrong.

I’m not going to rush into buying a watch just because it’s available (I’ve done that before and regretted it). BTW, love the new strap for your PLM. Wempe in Germany still have a couple unsold, perhaps they will give a discount? Take care my friend? ...

Makes perfect sense and agree about Lange. Does Wempe still have the RL PLM or JS ? If it is a RL PLM, I would recommend one since I think these will be future collectibles given how many fusée and chain movements are made relative to other models...

And that is from all manufacturers, not just Lange 😉. Oh, and thanks for the compliment on the strap. Got it with thee same hide which I ordered for a custom wallet / card holder for a matching set. Just wanted to personalize it to give it that extra pers...

Thanks and let us know 😉👍

A bit too busy..

Personally I find the dial to be a bit too busy. The overlapping circles are somehow disturbing the symmetry that a classic design should represent. At certain times of the day the indicators would look jumbled on the dial.
