Thanks for the message. I was wondering as well why it does not lose time on my wrist during the day but only at night. I figured the power reserve was not adequate for some weird reason. Unfortunately this implies a bigger problem than the watch being magnetized. I am going to wind it tonight and see what impact that has on the time in the morning. If it seems fine, I will have to assume something has gone bonkers with the power reserve system. Pity because I truly love wearing this watch and never tire of looking at the movement. Anyhow, I will be back in the US hopefully in about 10 days and will send it off to Alkis in NYC for servicing. I am led to believe he's the best. I will certainly post his response once he has seen the watch.

Thanks very much for that. I did not think of the watch being magnetized since I have no problems when I wear it during the day. However, I think you're right - its time for service as I have never sent it in yet.

I think, a service in Glashütte is the best way to find out what´s wrong with the beautiful Datograph. Especially after four years of constant wearing the fine watch. When the Datograph is back it will be like new. Regards! Sascha

Alkis worked on my L1 and 1815 chrono this year, and I can attest that both he and Stacy execute commendable work and are consummate professionals. My Langes came back to me as new! Please be advised they are currently on annual holiday in Greece and will...
You can try....

putting the clock slightly tilted to one side and see if the delay increases or decreases the morning after. if it were magnetized would lose time all day long, you can always try to reload it before storing. I agree it's time to have a service.
