A. Lange & Söhne

Is this the best watch Lange has ever made? (Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon Honey Gold Lume)

The perpetual calendar is excellent--hyper-legible and instantaneous. The button advances all indications together in sync, and can’t be pressed accidentally since it only works when the crown is pulled out. There are still toothpick holes for independent day, month, and moon adjustment. It beats at 2.5 hz (ideal for a chrono,) can be reset while running, and has an instantaneous minutes counter--currently only Lange and Patek are making these at scale. It also has all the latest L951 upgrades that the dato perpetual hasn’t gotten.

Complicated Lange’s are known as hockey pucks, but this isn’t bad at all tbh. The Up/Down is gone, something to do with the sapphire dial, but I don’t really miss it. Lange didn’t exactly price this watch to move (it costs more than the platinum and white gold versions combined) but all 50 have already been allocated. I’m not sure how many (if any) have been delivered. My answer to the question posed in the title is "ja" btw
