SBGA407 blue snowflake

Hi all,

A little after Basel this year, Grand Seiko announced the release of a blue spring drive snowflake, the SBGA 407, available from June this year.

The press release photo was underwhelming but since then, some live photos have emerged on the internet. All I can say is, wow!!!

Attached is a photo from the net, credit to horologymatters off their Instagram

Has anyone seen it in the metal? Comments?

BW,
Chi Kai

It looks just like the "USA-only-special" blue dial Spring Drive

except on a strap. Perhaps a slightly different dial snowflake pattern. Cazalea ...

I agree. [nt]

I think the “snowflake” pattern is different and resembles the original snowflake, whereas this US edition has a different “pattern” on the dial. Some have observed that the case shape is also different. BW, Chi Kai

Is the US only steel or titanium?

I love these in titanium as they are so comfortable to wear.

Yes, I saw it this weekend at the NYC Seiko boutique. It’s a different case than the “regular” snowflake we all know and love.

It’s very nice in its own right. Although light blue is one of my favorite colors, for some reason I am not attracted to it on a watch dial. Very nice timepiece however.

Would love to see it in the metal

I am not sure if it has hit UK shores yet but will be checking it out. BW, Chi Kai
