Some Chopard downtime...

Holidays have long been overdue for yours truly and slowly the first effects of more sleep and less stress are making themselves felt.

And the odd additional moment for taking watch pictures smile These are often still quick snapshots while taking care that nothing happens to kids but better than nothing...

Bringing me back to Chopard. A couple of days ago Wicozani posted his blue dial St. Moritz here (the thread:  www.watchprosite.com  is here), so I felt the LUC Sport - it’s spiritual successor - deserved a shot, too. Especially since its versatility makes it a great holiday watch. You get an intricate dial, a fine micro rotor movement (4.96 in this application) yet at the same time a watch that will easily stomach a swim or mild dive, assuming an appropriate strap is used (it does come with a rubber one, too).

And it seems the holiday spirit is definitely here - just noticed that I started forgetting to set the date, as seen on the LUC Chrono One below wink

Wishing a great week to everyone!

Do you have any comments on that aspect of the watch? Thanks, Mike

Mine seems to resist scratches reasonably well...

But then I don’t wear it on a daily basis and don’t wear it in G-Shock like situations

The multi-textured dial of L.U.C Sport is still attractive

I like the different textures of engraving on the dial of the L.U.C Sport 2000. Maybe I'll finally look for one having passed back in 2001. 🤓 Regards, MTF

You will likely not regret it :)

It’s really a piece that has kept a certain understated charm. And Chopard makes a blue patterned calf strap that matches the dial perfectly

Good condition ones do pop up regularly. A bit of patience may be required but they are still around
