After selling most of my collection a few years ago I picked this one up today. It is a gorgeous watch! The dial is amazing, the size is adequate (between a 36 datejust and a 40 sub) and the bracelet is extremely comfortable.

I used to collect Panerais, had several Nautilus and 1 Aquanaut and don't find this one feminine at all, on the contrary. I think people that feel so are somewhat biased because of the reference number. It is currently the favourite of my small collection (mostly Rolexes).

Sizing the bracelet is quite difficult (much harder than an Aquanaut or a Nautilus) so since it doesn't have a quick adjustment system this might be an issue in the summer. I'll certainly need to go at least twice a year to my AD to adjust it.

On a side note, my AD told me they can't keep a single Patek in stock (except for a couple of ladies quartz references) as they are all pre-sold before the next shipment arrives. Apparently the issue is not on the supply side, as it is similar (or even slightly better) to what it as always been. The problem is that demand is through the roof and increasing by the day as the number of people that are becoming interested in watches worldwide is substantially increasing and creating a spillover effect to more brands.

I love the weaving pattern ! Think it is called “shantung”. The blue dial is great and this is a very functional watch. Enjoy it often ! p.s. not feminine at all to me

Splendid acquisition!

...they could figure out how to integrate the date.

Welcome (back) to our forum, and congrats on a superb acquisition from last year's collection! ;-) To borrow Patek's own words, with its 38mm diameter, this gorgeous new calendar can arguably be considered a reference "that suits all wrists"! ;-)

Let me also say that, as we are obviously witnessing an increased interest in watches among the general public, the point your AD is making is definitely correct. While fortunately the situation is not always so dramatic that only the quartz references ar...
