The theme for the WS of the 13th of January will be ‘Grails - achieved and still lusted after’

I hope you have all managed to have a relaxing festive season! A new year also brings with it new year’s resolutions as well as new horological targets. While I am sure we all have plenty of both, we all have watches that we have listed after for a while - or are still hoping to acquire - in 2023 or later. So the theme this week will be ‘Grails - achieved and still lusted after’.

A grail might be different things to different people and some have one, others several. So let’s see pictures of your grails this weekend, irrespective of whether you have already achieved them or not.

Looking forward to your entries and will put up the main thread tomorrow at around noon CET, as usually.

Definitely looking forward to it 👍🏻

How nice to have you hosting next weekend dear friend KM! Yes, "grail" can have different meanings to different collectors but your precious VC is a good example of a "Grail Watch".

I feel lucky of having hunted a few of my personal grails but my pending list is still very long and some of them are now "unreachable" for me. I feel it´s important to recognize how lucky we are to having those in our collections and enjoy so much wearin...

We are fortunate indeed…

It seems to be a hobby where the advantage of an early birth and consequent early start is quite pronounced. And I know full well what you mean by some in the meantime being unreachable 🤷🏻‍♂️ Looking forward to seeing your entries 👍🏻
