Q: What is the meaning of Quantième? I can see day date month moonphase but not the year.

So, a Quantième complet just means calendar complete but without automatic calculation of months with more/less than 30 days?

A: quantième is the rank of the day in the month. So if the date is the 14th of July, the quantième is 14.

Quantième complet (or calendrier complet) is a watch which displays the quantièmes, the months, the days and in addition, it can display the moonphases.

Q:
I saw the animation of how two disks work but it is not clear if you can adjust for long and short daylight hours, or every day is 12hours

For me, you can't adjust it, the colours change at 6 am and 6 pm.

I have to check.

Q:
I did not know there are cities in the world called Nuuk or Majuro or Delgarda?!?

Yes! Because they use cities in the same hemisphere which is not the case of classic WT which use cities from both.

Thanks Melvyn!

Montblanc was one of the few Richemont brands which attended the 7th edition of the Salon Belles Montres a few days ago in Paris. It was not a surprise since Paris and France are a very important market for the brand. The large boutique located at the rue...

FrX, Thanks for your overview report. Alas, it raises more questions. I know some of the watches were explained at SIHH or Hong Kong show but i still need clarification. Maybe it is the French terminology? What is the meaning of Quantième? I can see day d...

I realized that it was a good geography lesson for me :-) For a long time, the MB Rising Hours was familiar to me...I couldn't put my finger on it but for some reason after reading the report, I finally was able to connect. It is a more sophisticated vers...

Nuuk and Majuro?

 By: MTF : December 16th, 2013-19:26
:-) Really? There must be more snowballs than Montblanc Timewalker watches there! Still, a time zone is a time zone and more unique than the usual South Georgia or Honolulu found on such watches. Regards, MTF

MB has been busy...it is a sign that they want to be more aggressive imho. I cannot believe it is "easy" to attend all these shows around the world...its got to be expensive but I think it is the right move. Montblanc needs to be more visible. Quite hones...

As I said, the Montblanc presence in Paris was more than an exhibition of watches! Thanks to the presence of the watchmaker, it was also a way to focus on the horological contents of their collection. Good idea! Fx

I really love the progression of the Rieussec line, and the Rising Hours model is very nice. I wonder if MB will make a perpetual calendar version someday :) Cheers, Anthony

Thanks Anthony!

A PC Rieussec... why not! I would love to see how Montblanc would combine this complication with the chronograph! Fx
