Breguet Tradition Line - DIY strap change?

Mar 07, 2021,01:24 AM

Dear fellow Breguet enthusiasts,

Has anyone of you changed his Tradition strap by himself?

I think the process is clear: 1) take care of the little safety screw at the bottom of the lug 2) then the screwed spring bar), but wanted to hear from others who did it themselves. There is surely some Loctite on the screws so the unscrewing should be done very delicately as well.

I am looking to buy a few different strap colors to rotate on my Tradition without needing to go to a Boutique each time. By the way: any strap color / material recommendation for the ref 7027 below?! I was planning to start with light grey alligator....

Thank you & happy sunday! Patrick

Thank you for sharing your experience!

I think I will do the next strap change at the boutique and ask to watch over the shoulder of the watchmaker changing the strap!
