Seiko announces (you guessed it) a new limited edition Speedtimer Chronograph with matte black case and dial. Only 600 and available this Spring. I like it despite its size of 15mm thick and 43 wide. On the plus side for WPS fans, it has a very discrete date at 6 and both column wheel and vertical clutch technology.

Similar spec to the other two-dial, mechanical Speedmasters (top row) which all use 8R46 movements.

Caliber 8R46 is Seiko's most advanced automatic
chronograph movement for mechanical watches. This caliber incorporates
both vertical clutch and column wheel mechanisms which ensure the
precision and durability. The escapement is lightweight and strong,
thanks to the use of MEMS technology.
